Tanisha Allen,

Your Financial Theologian and Precept® Leader

My experience with church growing up was attending church about once a year for Easter with my extended family.  It wasn't until my senior year of high school, after my mother joined a church plant, that I was saved.

For years, my life stayed the same, with only some occasional church attendance here and there.  But all the while, God was tugging on my heart.  Eventually, my husband and I joined a church, got plugged into small groups and serving, started leading in both areas, and saw firsthand how community could change lives.

But after some church hurt and going to God's Word for answers, I realized that what was missing (for most of us) is our ability to get into the Word of God for ourselves.  Since then, I've read the Bible front to back and chronologically multiple times.  And after discovering the inductive Bible study method in 2018, I connected with Precept® Ministries to become a Precept® Leader and help teach others how to study the Bible inductively.
